I hope you have all had a wonderful festive season and are refreshed and ready for 2011. I always feel inspired at the start of a New Year and motivated to set a few goals. However, rather than going full steam ahead and setting the goals, I started by reviewing 2010 and logging any victories and successes, no matter how big or small. They are all important. Keeping a journal made this task easy as I have started logging A Round Up of the Month, where I list those moments of the day (although not all of them are successes, but I didn't focus on those).
Setting goals after reviewing 2010 provided clarity as I could see that the past successes fuelled and motivated my future plans. So what have I committed to on paper in relation to my writing development?
To write daily
To read daily
To complete my collection's manuscript of personal essays and poems by May 2011
On that note, I would like to thank all of my followers, writing contacts and those who have supported my arts activities throughout 2010. I wish you all a focused 2011 and one where your writing in particular gains momentum and goes from strength to strength!
